Spring at WDW

February 22, 2018

The Spring season at Walt Disney World is one of the most beautiful times of the year.  From the International Flower & Garden Festival at Epcot to the extended magic hours throughout the parks, vacationing during the Spring season at Walt Disney World simply can't be beat.

Celebrating Easter

Beginning in early March, festivities to celebrate Easter are underway at the parks.  Mr. and Mrs. Easter Bunny are available for meet and greets at the Magic Kingdom up until Easter Sunday.  There is also an Easter egg hunt that's offered throughout the World Showcase in Epcot which begins on March 16th this year and ends on April 1st.  Guests can purchase a game card and stickers at either Disney Trader, Pin Central, or World Traveler locations in the park.  Once you've completed the scavenger egg hunt, return you're completed game card to Disney Trader and receive a special surprise.

Beautiful Weather

The weather at Walt Disney World during the Spring months is absolutely incredible.  The warm temperatures and gorgeous sunshine make for a perfect time to enjoy everything the parks have to offer.  The evenings offer slightly cooler temperatures, however, squeezing in some pool time before hitting the sack is a definite possibility.

Parks Open Later

Spring Break means one of the busier times of year for Walt Disney World resulting in the parks having later hours to accommodate the increase in crowds.  Having later hours also gives guests more time to enjoy all four of Disney's amazing parks. Our recommendation is to hit the parks at opening or during early morning hours and take a break around noon when the parks are at their busiest.  Taking a break in the middle of the day can make it easier to head back out in the evening and catch all the stunning nightly shows Disney has to offer.  You may even have the energy to stay until park closing.

Atlanta Braves

If you're a MLB fan then this might be the spot for you on your next Walt Disney World vacation.  Every Spring, the Atlanta Braves call ESPN Wide World of Sports their home for spring training.  Guests are able to visit the complex and see the Braves in training.  If you're not a Braves fan, you might still be able to catch them playing a pre-season game against your home team!

St. Patrick's Day

Anyone who likes to celebrate St. Patrick's Day shouldn't miss the celebration going on at Ragland Road.  Ragland Road is an Irish Pub offering all your favorite Irish dishes and beer and is located in Disney Springs so no park ticket is required.  The celebration lasts all week and has nonstop music and dance entertainment every night.

Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival

The 2018 Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival is an annual event beginning February 28, 2018 and running to May 28, 2018 this year.  This event offers something for all ages of the family.  Indulge in the outdoor kitchens located throughout the World Showcase or immerse yourself in the beauty of the Disney themed topiaries.  Be sure to check out the Garden Rocks Concert Series at the American Gardens Theater for a fun-filled evening of rock classics for you to enjoy.  There's so much to see and do at the Flower & Garden Festival, you'll experience something new and exciting each time you visit.
